Mildred Hobbs

May 28, 1933 — November 8, 2016

Mildred Hobbs passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at the age of 83. Mrs. Hobbs, along with her husband Tom, was a longtime employee of RadioShack Corporation in Montgomery, Birmingham and Kansas City, Missouri. She also worked for Baker Dairy.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Thomas Hobbs, and a daughter, Nika Lee Hobbs. She is survived by 2 sons, Toss Hobbs (Anne) and Tommy Hobbs; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; and a sister.

The family will receive friends from 10-11, Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral will follow at 11:00 in the chapel. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: UAB Hematology/Oncology, Dr. Chris Vaklavas research funds, NP 2540M, 1720 2nd Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35249-3300.
