Mike Culwell

of McCalla, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2007, at the age of 51. He was an avid motorcross racer and loved mountain biking. Mr. Culwell was a member of Eastern Valley Baptist Church and owner of Mike's Transmission Repair. He was preceded in death by a son, Markus Culwell and his father, Marlin Culwell. He is survived by his wife, Julie Culwell; two step-sons, Billy and Blake Vice of Pleasant Grove; a step-daughter, Brittany Vice of McCalla; his mother, Beverly Culwell of Hoover; a brother, David Culwell of Birmingham; a sister, Lisa Higgins (Barry) of Hoover; and two nieces, Jennifer and Amy Vaughn. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, from 6-8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2007, at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Davis officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
