Michael Turner

Michael Frank Turner (born July 2, 1953) passed away on April 8, 2016. Mike refused to allow anyone he encountered to remain a stranger, and will be remembered by all who knew him as one of the most genuinely kind, caring, sincere, and funny individuals who ever lived. He is survived by his wife and soul mate of over thirty-nine years, Mickey; his daughters, Starr Drum (David), Bentley Schoening (Brian); his son, Beau Michael Turner; his mother, Sue Israel Goodwin; his sister, Rhonda McLelland; his half-brother Les Turner; his stepsister Lisa Woods; and several other family members and countless friends.

In his sixty-two years on this earth Mike was the co-owner of multiple businesses with his wife, including Freedom Court Reporting and Life Realty. Mike was also a world-class pilot and an enthusiastic assistant Boy Scout master. He supported innumerable charities and was a member of the Cathedral Church of the Advent and also a member of the Advent House Prayer Team.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 9:15-11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral Church of the Advent with funeral services commencing at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South on Hwy 150 in Hoover, AL.
