Michael Ray

Mr. Michael Austin "Mike" Ray, 28, of Pelham, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. He was a 2003 graduate of Pelham High School. He enjoyed outdoor activities and spending time with his dog "Dixie". He is survived by his mother, Lee Sims (Dale); father, James (Jimmy) Ray (Judy); brother, Jim Ray (Christena); niece, Ava Ray and nephew, Brooks Ray; special friend Valerie Araugo. A number of aunts, uncles, cousins and host of friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 1 pm until 3 pm at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with services to begin at 3 pm. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shelby County Humane Society.
