Michael Hayes

age 52, of Hoover passed from this life March 17, 2006. A huge Tennesee football fan, Mr. Hayes had served his country in the US Navy for more than 22 years, retiring in 1993. Most recently he had been employed by DEL Properties as their Maintenance Supervisor. Mr. Hayes was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Hayes. He is survived by his fiancee, Amanda Smith; and a sister, Marie Wydra (Jack) of Ohio. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Sunday, March 19, 2006 at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Hwy 150 in Hoover. The funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel Monday at 2:00 with Terry Smith officiating. Interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South will follow the service.
