Mical Parker

Mical Lee Parker, 16 years, McCalla, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, June 19, 2010. Visitation will be Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Shades Mountain Independent Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral will be Friday June 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Shades Mountain Independent Church with burial at Currie-Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Hoover, AL. Mical was born April 4, 1994, to Phillip Parker and Keri Vines Parker. Mical was a student at Shades Mountain Christian School. Mical was a key player for the Eagles football team. Mical was to begin his junior year. Mical had a big heart and will be missed by his classmates, teachers, and fellow team members. Family and friends describe his smile as, “to light up a room”. Mical is survived by his father, Phillip Parker, McCalla, mother, Keri Vines Parker, Pleasant Grove, and his brothers, Bradley and Billy Parker; his grandmother, Shirley Vines, Pleasant Grove; his grandparents, Don and Jerrie Parker, McCalla; great-grandmother, Willa Del (Mommy) Wyatt, McCalla; his aunt and uncle, Janet and Matt Revel, McCalla, his cousins, Nellie and Matthew Revel. Mical is preceded in death by his grandfather, Herbert Lee Vines, Pleasant Grove. Pall Bearers, Phillip Parker, Bradley Parker, Matthew Wyatt, Daniel Wyatt, Johnathan Laudermilk, Jack Spink, Ben Packard, Michael Ray, and Kyle Nation. The Shades Mountain Christian School football team will serve as honorary pall bearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shades Mountain Christian School, Mical Parker Memorial Fund.
