Mevilyn Evans of Homewood, Alabama, passed away on October 31, 2018, at the age of 92. She was born on February 27, 1926, and grew up in Alabaster, Alabama. She was married to the former Fire Chief of Homewood, Albert Evans. She was a longtime member of the Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and a 25 year volunteer at the V A hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Evans; and a son, Charles Steven Evans.
Mevilyn is survived by a son, Al J. Evans; a daughter, Carolyn Evans Musso; six grandchildren, Tara Evans Stephens, Ryan Evans, Charley Evans, Meagan Evans, Reanna Musso Montgomery, and Jake Musso; three great-grandchildren, Roman Evans, Sebastian Evans, and Julianna Evans; and a sister, Billie Jean McQueen.
A Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at 11 AM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, on highway 150 in Hoover.
