Mayanice Walton

WALTON, MAYANICE, of Columbiana, passed away at a private facility on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the age of 87. She was educated at the University of Montevallo, and Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. She worked many years for the State of Alabama and retired in October 1986. She is survived by one sister, Ruth Mims of Homewood; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Graveside services will be Monday, May 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South on Hwy 150 in Hoover, Jim Profetto officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Covenant Place of Gardendale or to the Shelby County Humane Society.
