Maxine Oakley

age 75, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2007. She was born in Lexington, TN and has been a resident of Hoover for the past 41 years. Maxine was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Rush Oakley; two daughters, Carla Milstead and husband, Bobby, and Linda Bryant and husband, Geoff; three grandchildren, Allison Milstead, Matthew and Melissa Bryant. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, from 6-8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Cecil Sewell officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South in Hoover.
