Mary Trammell

Mary Alice Hill Trammell, age 80, went to be at home with the Lord on Friday, April 23, 2010. "We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord," 2 Corinthians 5:6-8. Mary Alice is reunited now with her husband, Rev. Jack R. Trammell, and her oldest son, Barry Trammell, who went on before her. She is survived by her children, Brenda Berry, Brian Trammell (Janet), Bonnye Paul (Terrel), and Beverly Pena; twelve grandchildren, Suzann Trammell, Adam Trammell, Danielle Trammell, Amanda Trammell, Brian Trammell II, Sheri Sharich, Ashley Phillips, Ashley Norris, Logan Paul, Wesley Paul, Britany Pena, and Haley Pena; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Johnie Banks Hill, Jr.; sister, Peggy Hill Turner; nephew, Jimmy Turner (Lisa); and great niece, Allie Turner. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home on Hwy 150 in Hoover. Funeral will be at 1 PM, Monday, April 26, 2010, at Hunter Street Baptist Church, Dr. Buddy Gray officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society 1104 Ireland Way, Birmingham, AL 35205.
