Mary Gail Robbins

Mary Gail Robbins of Birmingham went to be with our heavenly father on March 30, 2023, at the age of eighty-eight. Mrs. Robbins spent time taking care of young children in her home and eventually opened her own daycare. In her later years she was caregiver to nursing home residents. She was instrumental in organizing the neighborhood watch in her community. She also volunteered in many community service events. Mrs. Robbins resided at Shelby Ridge Nursing Home for the last 10 years of her life. The family would like to thank the staff of Shelby Ridge and Oasis Hospice Care.

Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by her parents, Amos Earwood and Frances Poindexter her brother, Robbie Earwood. She is survived by her sons, John Philpot (Janice) and Brian Philpot (LaJuana) her brother, Waylon Earwood (Betty) and her sister, Glenda Earwood; her grandchildren, Michael Philpot (Dana), Justin Philpot (Matt), Caitlyn Gibson (Kendall) also great grandchildren, Emma and Aiden Philpot, Tripp Gibson and nieces and nephew.

Memorial Service will be Friday, April 14, 2023 with visitation beginning at 3:00 to 4:00 PM followed with the service at 4:00 PM. Arrangements in care of Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, 2701 John Hopkins Parkway, Hoover, AL. 35244
