July 6, 1934 — October 5, 2024

Mary "Louise" Lowery, 90, of Alabaster, AL, entered through the pearly gates of Heaven on October 5, 2024. She passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home with loved ones nearby. Louise was born in Jemison, AL on July 6, 1934.

Louise met her husband, Leo Lowery, while attending Thompson's Chapel Church and they were later married on September 29, 1951. After several years of traveling around while Leo was working for CBI Industries, The Lowerys settled down in Alabaster, AL in 1958. Louise worked for Allied Mineral Products, located in Pell City, AL and then went on to work for H&R Block until she retired.

Louise was an avid member of Kingwood Church in Alabaster, AL. She loved the Lord with all her heart and showed it in many ways. Louise, along with her husband, helped several churches with their children's church programs. Louise loved to use puppets to spread the message of the Lord to the children. Louise also volunteered at the local nursing home, Buck Creek, in Alabaster, AL. Louise would play the piano while her husband Leo would play the guitar and together they would sing worship songs and preach the word of God to the residents of Buck Creek. Louise also loved to sew and made many special items, such as bibs for the elderly and teddy bears for children. Louise had the kindest heart and always wanted to help people while spreading the message of God's love.

Louise is survived by her son Steven Lowery (Laura) of Alabaster, AL, grandson Keith Lowery (Carrie) of Macon, GA, granddaughter Brandy Fitzhugh (Jason) of Oak Hill, OH, 8 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, sister Tommie White (John), brother Doug Ray (Linda), niece Holly Bearden (Greg), nephews Brad White, Vince Ray (Judy), Jeffery Ray, Jamie Ray (Christy), and many more nieces and nephews on the Lowery side.
