Mary Glazner

Kathryn went to be with the Lord after battling with a brain tumor on July 29, 2014 in her residence at Galleria Woods Retirement Center. She was born to Fred and Mary Chenoweth, deceased, in Negaunee, Michigan. She moved to Birmingham at the age of 9 months. She graduated from West End High School and Massey Business College and retired after 40 years as Accountant and corporate officer of Fred Chenoweth Equipment Company.
Preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, R. Lewis Glazner, only sister, Margaret Chenoweth Brown and brother-in-law, Euel C. Brown. Survived by daughter, Karen Glazner Walker, two grandchildren, Garret Walker and wife, Mary Martha Walker, Meredith Phillips and husband, David Phillips and one foster grandchild, Rebecca Bohin and husband John Bohin, eight great grandchildren, Anne Hampton, Catherine and Garrett Jr. Walker, Trenton and Everett Phillips, Laura Bohin Butts (Barry), Lindsey and Lance Bohin, and two great great grandchildren, one nephew, Euel C. Brown, Jr. and wife, Janet, of Atlanta, GA, and two great nephews and their families.
Currently a member of First Baptist Church of Hoover. Formally very active member of Shades Mountain Independent Church for 26 years. Member of Avondale United Methodist Church for 25 years and grew up in West End Methodist Church. A member of the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary and a previous member of the Dogwood Garden Club.
After retirement she enjoyed employment at Hancock Fabrics and loved to play tennis.
Visitation will be at 12:00 noon preceding the service on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Hoover at 1:00 PM. Graveside service will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
