In Memoriam: Bonnie Brawley (1958–2024)

Mary “Bonnie” Bonitta (Lopez) Brawley of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. 

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Mary “Nell” and Joseph Lopez. She is survived by her husband Bruce and her sister Becky Lopez. 

Bonnie was a graduate of Fultondale High School in Alabama and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 

Bonnie’s passion was real estate investment. Her hobbies included quilting and gardening. She particularly enjoyed her time volunteering with Forsyth County Master Gardeners. Bonnie was an inspiration to her family, and she deeply loved her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and in-laws. Bonnie also demonstrated a unique ability to build and nurture lasting relationships with friends. Her constant smile and quick wit will be missed dearly.

A graveside service is planned at 1:00 p.m. CST on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Currie-Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Hoover, Alabama.
