age 87, of Alabaster, AL, passed away on July 5, 2007. Mrs. Branham was born in Maylene, AL, daughter of Roscoe Payne and Ina Belle Dunnaway Payne. She was predeceased by her husband, Talton W. Branham, brothers Curtis, Frank, Chester, Roscoe & Bill; sons-in-law, Thomas Lacey and Thomas B. Leonard, III; and grandson, Tom Leonard, IV. Mrs. Branham is survived by daughters, Ina B. Leonard, of Birmingham, AL, Mary B. Putman, of Jasper, AL, and Faith B. Lacey, of Alabaster, AL; six grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Mrs. Branham was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pelham, and was enrolled in the Dolly Hodges Sunday School class. Evelyn had many talents. At different times in her life she was a painter and a quilter, and she enjoyed playing the piano and other instruments. She spent most of her working career at Western Auto in Alabaster, where she considered her customers her friends. Pallbearers are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers are friends and staff at the Alabaster Senior Center, where she spent many happy hours in the last few years. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 7, 2007, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
