Mary Bailey

Mrs. Mary "Torrencie" Bailey, age 96 of McCalla, AL died on July 17, 2014. She was preceded in death by husband Lenard “Buddy” Bailey and adopted daughter Karanel Ezpeleta. An employee of Green Valley Drugs since 1964, she and Buddy were instrumental in the life of Hoover First United Methodist Church for over 70 years. Although having no biological children of her own, Torrencie raised generations of children in Patton Chapel/Hoover most especially nephew Gerald (Marynet) King and niece Jennifer Hillman.
Visitation will be Monday, July 21, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Hoover First United Methodist Church, 1934 Patton Chapel Rd, Hoover, AL. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Hoover First United Methodist with Rev. Rachel Gonia officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hoover First United Methodist Church.
