Martha Nye

Mrs. Martha R. Nye, of Pelham, went to be with Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the age of 73. Martha was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church and enjoyed participating in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF). She is survived by her loving husband of over 51 years, Jim Nye; 3 children, Mark Nye (Susan) of Houston, TX, Debbie Wood (Tony) of Alabaster, AL, and Susanne Mitchell (David) of Pelham, AL; 6 grandchildren, Benjamin and Christopher Nye, Emily and Olivia Wood, and Zoe and Payton Mitchell. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Louise Robinson, a brother, Bill Robinson, and her granddaughter, Hannah Wood. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 10 to 11 AM in the Chapel at Hunter Street Baptist Church, Hoover, AL. Funeral service will follow at 11 AM with Dr. Buddy Gray officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
