age 74, of Hoover passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2008, following a short illness. He was born in Bronwood, GA on June 13, 1933, son of the late Eunice Strickland Donaldson. He graduated from Terrell High in Dawson, GA in 1953, and served in the army. After his discharge, he attended Auburn University and graduated in Industrial Management in 1959. His employment included Owen Richards Company, U.S. Pipe, Baptist Medical Centers and a retirement from Baxter Travenol Pharmaceuticals in 1991. He was preceded in death by a son, Theo DeLoach Donaldson, of Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Margaret DeLoach Donaldson; a son, Marlin Talmadge Donaldson, Jr.(Kim); a daughter-in-law, Brenda Stroup Donaldson of Albuquerque, NM; a sister, Emogene Murphy (Chuck) of Daytona Beach, FL; a brother, Phonso Donaldson (Mary) of Dawson, GA; and a brother-in-law, John McClendon of Anderson, SC; and six grandchildren, Erin, Hunter, Amber, Channing, Natalia and Aleyna; numerous neices and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 24, 2008, from 5:00-6:30 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. A memorial service will follow at 6:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
