Mark Jonathan Lindsey, of Vestavia, went to be with the Lord on Valentine's Day, Thursday, February 14, 2019, at the age of 46. He was a free spirit who truly loved people. Mark both played and made musical instruments, being one of a handful of people in the nation who knew how to make a concertina. Live music was his life.
He is preceded in death by his father, Bob Lindsey. He is survived by his mother, Barbara "Booger" Lindsey; his brother, Brian Lindsey (Jenna); nephews, Taylor, Tanner, Tristan Lindsey and Mike Adelberg; and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. The memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM, where there will be an open mic for sharing. Jerry Klein will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mark's honor to Horse Pens 40 to promote the music that he loved so much. Please make checks payable to Howard Schultz, owner of Horse Pens 40, and mail to: 3525 Co. Rd. 42, Steele, AL 35987.
