Mark Lunsford

Mr. Mark Lunsford, age 45, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, of a massive heart attack. He graduated from Vestavia Hills High School and was a graduate of UAB in Mechanical Engineering. He was an early retiree of U.S. Steel in Fairfield, AL. After retiring, he was self-employed in the real estate field. He was a kind and wonderful son who loved his family and helped an extended list of friends and others. Survivors include his parents, Robert (Bob) and Millie Lunsford, a sister, Cindy Jean Lunsford (Mike Lackey), a brother, Michael Robert (Kallie) Lunsford, two nephews, Tyler and Dylan, two nieces, Helen and Sophie Jean, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held, Wednesday, June 1, 2011, from 6-8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel on Hwy 150 in Hoover, AL. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
