Mark Garlington

Mark Howard Garlington, Age 60, of Hoover, Alabama passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife Sherry and children Taylor, Payton, and Sydney; parents John and Barbara Garlington; brothers J.P Garlington and Steve (Alana) Garlington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Mark graduated from Bessemer Academy in 1979 and the University of Montevallo in 1983. Mark was a highly respected and award-winning Regional Sales Manager at Spartan Chemical Company for 30 years. Mark was loved by his co-workers and associates alike. Mark loved spending time with his family and friends, golfing with his buddies, vacationing at the beach, and the predictable plot of Hallmark movies. Mark’s greatest priority was his family. He was a devoted husband to Sherry for 36 years. Mark never missed a ball game or cheerleading event and tirelessly coached and encouraged his children challenging them to be the very best they could be. Mark had a dry and unfiltered wit that could brighten anyone’s day. He lived life to the fullest and never held back. Mark was a believer who lived his life through Christ. Services will be held at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home 2701 John Hawkins Parkway Hoover Alabama on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Visitation will begin at 9:00 with memorial service at 11:00.
