Mark Cushing

Mark Drew Cushing, of Alabaster, went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 23, 2016, at age 32. He was born in Bessemer, Alabama on July 23, 1984, the son of Jerry and Stacy (Davis) Cushing. He graduated from Thompson High School in 2002 and later graduated with honors from CEFA Electrical School. Following his education, he worked for Marathon Electrical Contractors as an electrician where he enjoyed doing what he loved the most, working with his hands. He was a member of the Desperation Church of Cullman, Alabama, where he loved to worship. He is survived by his loving parents and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

His life will be celebrated on Monday, August 29th at Currie Jefferson Funeral Home on Hwy 150 in Hoover, Alabama. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. The service will be officiated by the Reverend Ken Stoups of Alabaster.

Pallbearers who will be serving are: Jonathan Blake, Christopher Poole, Dr. Shawn Jason Smith, James Victor Spencer, III, Cleston Roberts, and Eddie Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be mailed to: The Foundry, P.O. Box 824, Bessemer, AL 35020.
