Marjorie Davison

(Mrs. Vernon G. Davison) of Sterrett, AL, slipped into eternity to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 9, 2007. She was two weeks shy of 99 years old. Mrs. Davison had been a resident of the Birmingham area since 1939. Through her husband, she was closely involved with Howard College/Samford University for 40 years. She taught elementary school in Birmingham and Jefferson County for many years. During her years as an educator, she was a Christian example and mentor to hundreds of young people. She (with her husband) traveled the world visiting friends along the way. The Davisons were long time member of Ruhama and Dawson Memorial Baptist Churches. She is survived by her daughter, Oran (Jodi) Creel; three grandsons; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 14, 2007, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. A Memorial Celebration will follow at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel. Those wishing to do so are asked to make monetary donations to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for Foreign Missions through your local Southern Baptist Church.
