of Hoover, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2010, at the age of 72 from gastric cancer. Mrs. Morrow was born in Kansas City, MO on February 10, 1937. She was raised in Blue Springs, MO, the only child of Samuel Henry Mahan and Eula Belle Burrus Mahan. Her career spanned 30 years with the Federal Government in the Departments of Treasury and Interior. Mr. and Mrs. Morrow operated a family owned business, Greenbriar Cleaners, in Fairfax, VA from 1985 through 1996. Mrs. Morrow was an active member of Hoover First United Methodist Church, where she served as trustee and was heavily involved in mission activities. She loved genealogy and belonged to several lineage societies. She was serving as Regent of the Lilly of the Cahaba chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution in Hoover. She was also a member of the Colonial Dames XVIIth Century, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Hoover Service Club, Caledonian Society, Hoover Historical Society, and the Fenelon Club. Mrs. Morrow was preceded in death by her father and husband, Dean Eldon Morrow, who was her soul mate. She is survived by her mother; two sons, Darren Pack (Cari) of Blue Springs, MO and Christopher Morrow (Amy) of Birmingham, AL; two stepchildren, Gary Morrow (Lisa) of Leawood, KS and Patti Wilkerson of Mission Hills, KS; eleven grandchildren, Madison Morrow, Davis Morrow, Jeffrey Pack, Christopher Pack, Andrea Morrow, Stuart Morrow, Madeline Morrow, Joseph Morrow, Dean Morrow, Laura Wilkerson and Grant Wilkerson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 from 9:30am until 11:00am at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Highway 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lonna Lynn Higgs officiating. Interment will be in Blue Springs, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hoover First United Methodist Church, 1934 Patton Chapel Rd., AL 35226 in memory of Mrs. Morrow.
