Marilyn Hunton

of Vestavia, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at the age of 72. Mrs. Hunton was originally from Hingham, MA. She retired after 16 years of service as a daycare worker for Vestavia Hills Extended Care and was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church for 30 years. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Henry Flaherty. Mrs. Hunton is survived by her husband of 48 years, Peter Hunton; two sons, Peter Shawn Hunton (Valerie) of Vestavia and Kevin Michael Hunton (Kimberly) of Vestavia; two daughters, Colleen Cotter (Clement) of Hoover, and Kerry Wallace (Wes) of Morris; eleven grandchildren, Matthew, Katie, Christie, Dustin, Hannah Jean, Jack, Hannah Elizabeth, Mary Hanlon, Peter, Will and Hal; two sisters, Catherine Patricia Flaherty of Weymouth, MA and Barbara Marie Nevins of Hingham, MA. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 2, 2005, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, followed by a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at the church, with Masgr. Paul Rohling officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Peter's Child Development Center.
