Margaret Ehrhardt

of Birmingham, AL, passed away gracefully Friday, June 27, 2008. Her life was filled with love for her sister, husband, children, grandchildren and many dear friends. Following retirement from Control and Power, she volunteered her time and talents as a docent to the Birmingham Museum of Art, Friends of the Hoover Library, Hoover Express and ushered for numerous local cultural events. She was preceded in death by her father, Olin Dwight Elliot; her mother, Ida Pearl Arthur; her sister, Gretchen Louise Elliot; and her husband, George J. Ehrhardt, Jr. She is survived by her children, Phyllis Fenn (Jim), Nancy Ehrhardt, Betty Ehrhardt, George Ehrhardt (Denise); and her grandchildren, Anna Fenn, Michael Eaton, Keith Clayton, Krista Clayton, Rebecca Ehrhardt and Patrick Ehrhardt. Following a private family graveside service on Monday, June 30, her memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Independent Presbyterian Church, 3100 Highland Avenue, Birmingham, AL. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to The Friends of the Hoover Library or your favorite charity. She and her family have truly appreciated the thoughts, prayers and love from her friends, doctors and others over the last several months.
