Mabel Oliver

of Hoover, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2009, at the age of 93. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Huffman and a former member of Inglenook Baptist Church in Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter W. Oliver and her parents, H.A. and Luvenia Carter. She is survived by 2 daughters, Carolyn (Brandt) Clarke and Karen (Charlie) Fowler both of Hoover; 4 grandchildren, Amber Clarke, Ashley (Kyra) Clarke, Nathan (Brandi) Fowler and Keith (Heather) Fowler; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, from 12 to 1:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
