Lynda Hawkins Saito, 66, went home to be with Jesus on September 20, 2018. She was the eldest daughter of the late Braxton Lee Hawkins and Illma Lurlene Hawkins, of Burns, MS, and was a retired Kindergarten teacher, a graduate of Jones County Junior College, Ellisville, MS, and William Carey College, Hattiesburg, MS. Lynda and her family have lived in the Birmingham area over 42 years, loving and ministering to people all over the city for Jesus Christ. Her love in life was to see men, women, and children come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and experiencing true freedom in their lives.

Lynda is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard Saito; her daughter, Lyanna Saito; her sister, Martha Ann Warren (W.A.); and her brother, Danny Hawkins (Brenda).

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, from 9-11 AM at the Inverness Vineyard Church, 4733 Valleydale Road, Birmingham, AL 35242. A celebration of Lynda’s life will follow at 11 AM. Everyone is welcome to attend the graveside service which will be held at 2 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery at 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.
