Lula Caldwell

of Birmingham, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at the age of 91. She was a lifetime member of Rocky Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a renowned steamstress in the Birmingham area for 70 years. She was a loving Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Caldwell was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James Floyd Caldwell, a son, James Caldwell, and a grandson, Keith Self. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Self (Grady) of Birmingham; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Caldwell of Birmingham; seven grandchildren, Danny Self, Renee' Smith, Denise Slimer (Mark), Jamie Cranford (Bob), Gina Doran (Doug), Curt Caldwell (Amanda) and Terri Kropf (Dave); sixteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 30, 2007, from 5-7 PM at Rocky Ridge Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2007, at 2 PM at the church.
