She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, having performed in the marching band there. It was there that she met her husband Bud. Mrs. Watters retired from being a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in Augusta, Georgia after many years of service. She generally worked the 3-11 pm shift, and did this after teaching school, primarily science, at the Aiken Day School and St. Mary's Help of Christians Catholic School in Aiken, South Carolina earlier each day. Totsy was a lady who loved life and had a great love for dogs, shopping, music, singing, reading, and sports, especially Wisconsin Badger and South Carolina Gamecock athletics, and particularly enjoyed The Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. Above all, she loved to laugh, and her infectious laugh brought a smile to everyone around her. Totsy loved her family, church, and community, and served them well, accomplishing much in life. For all of her accomplishments the one that meant the most to her was being able to help others.
