Louise "Nu Nu" Fancher Waldrop, of Hueytown, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019, at the age of 90. She was born on October 22, 1928 in Wylam, AL. Louise enjoyed fishing, traveling, friends, and especially her family. One of her favorite jobs, which was her first, was working at the Lyric Theater at the age of 16. In her 50's, her life was transformed through Christ. She loved her church, Hunter Street Baptist Church, and singing with the Joyful Singers.
Louise is survived by her 2 daughters, Debbie Meeks (Steve) and Margo Bailey; 4 beloved grandchildren, Angela Wood (Jason), Jon Meeks, Paul Bailey and Andy Bailey; her 3 great grandchildren who were her special joy, Emma, Natalie and Jacob Wood; 1 sister, Jimmie Pike; 5 nieces; 1 nephew; and many cherished friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, from 9-10 AM at Hunter Street Baptist Church - Chapel. The service will follow at 10 AM in the Chapel with Rev. Brian Hinton officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Louise's honor to Hunter Street Baptist Church.
