Lorine Worlthington

of Hoover, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2012 at the age of 94. She was an active member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church for the past 50 plus years where she was a member of the Senior Adult Choir and Sunday School Class. Mrs. Worthington was a former member of Acipco Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother who left her family a legacy of love and laughter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 plus years, William R. Worthington and a brother, J.D. Godfrey. She is survived by her 4 daughters, Ina Raye Muncher (Joe), Billie Payton (Howard), Nancy Strozier (Woody) and Janice Stozier; 9 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Charles Carter and Rev. Jerry Harris officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
