Lois Jane Ritenbaugh Bush entered into glory on August 25, 2021 in
Birmingham, Alabama. What a glorious homecoming it was! She is
now face to face with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and reunited
with the love of her life Pat and her daughter Sarah.
Lois was born June 28, 1944 to Raymond List Ritenbaugh and Sarah Jane Long in
Pittsburgh, PA where she was raised. She attended Mt. Union
College and Kent State University. She was predeceased by her
husband Patrick Roy Bush, a daugher, Sarah Bush, her parents, and her brother Dr. Thomas
David Ritenbaugh, Philidelphia, PA.
Lois is survived by her son Charles Patrick Bush (Ashley), Lafayette,
CA, her daughter Carolynn Bush Woodall (James), and
grandchildren Olivia and Liam Bush, and Callahan, Evans and Jane
Woodall. She was a skilled artist and a member of Briarwood
Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir. Lois was active in
Bible Study Fellowship for over 35 years serving in a leadership
role.
Lois would want all of her friends and family to know the joy and
certainty of eternal life in heaven that can be found only in putting
your faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation. We are
so sad that we are apart, but look forward to the day when we will be
reunited. Our lives are forever impacted by her. She was one of a
kind. Our world is a little paler without her by our side, but she is
whole, healthy, and gloriously happy.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Briarwood Presbyterian
Church on Wednesday, September 1 at 10 am CDT with a reception
following in the Fellowship Hall. The service will be available via
