Lloyd Bynum

passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at the age of 94. He was a kind and gentle man that had a wonderful long life and loved to farm. Papaw was much loved by his family, his many friends and in his church. He was predeceased in death by his wife, Allene White Bynum. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by a son, Gordon Bynum, of Hoover; two grandchildren, Ava Hamric (Dr. Robert Hamric), of Vestavia, and Dawn Newberry (Bob), of Hoover; a great granddaughter, Ashlei Morse, of Hoover; a brother, Charlie Bynum (Winnie), of Goshen, NY; a sister, Iva Lee Rutherford, of NC. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 20, 2006, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. John Hambright officiating. The family will have a committal service at the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Oneonta. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to New Beacon Hospice.
