Linda Vance

Linda Ann Collins Vance, age 84, passed away peacefully in her home on August 11, 2024. Linda was born on April 11, 1940 in El Paso, Texas. From a young age she loved the arts. She started her studies in Arlington, Texas and continued to learn under many prestigious artists over the years. She came to Birmingham, Alabama where she opened Lindart's Studio and successfully taught for over 40 years. She is preceded in death by her father, Lelis H Collins Jr. and mother, Alice Johnson Collins; as well as her sisters, Patsy Day and Barbara Cooper. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Vance Kane and her two granddaughters Sarah (Alex) Dean and Annamarie Kane. She is also survived by her sisters, Susan (David) Foster, Gaye Curlee, and Kathie Jones. She will be missed greatly and her artistic legacy will carry on through her family and beloved students.
