Linda Rodgers

In the quiet hour before dawn on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, Linda Rodgers slipped from earth into the hands of the loving God she served with grace and joy. Blessings of deep devotion from husband, Rick Rodgers, daughter Meredith Rodgers Robinson, her husband Jonathan, daughter Jordan Rodgers, and granddaughter Collins Mae Robinson went with her on this glorious journey.
Linda's parents, Jimmie and Martha Lamb, welcomed her to heaven along with grandparents Jack and Beulah Jordan. She leaves behind many relatives from the Lamb-Dunlap families of Mississippi. Linda was a native of Gadsden, AL, and graduate of Jacksonville State University. Her career included positions with Alabama Power, BellSouth and recently, Collage Designer Consignment.
Linda served the Lord with visible gladness at Hunter Street Baptist Church with a deep passion for youth. She truly radiated joy in service to God and to every person He placed in her life.
A service of remembrance will be held at Hunter Street Baptist Church on Friday, February 19, at 2 p. m. The family will receive friends at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hunter Street Youth Programs in Linda's memory.
