Linda Johnson Crow was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her sweet, kind spirit affected all who came in contact with her and she was dearly loved by all who knew her. Her love of her Lord and Savior was evident in all she did. Linda was a wonderful cook and her kitchen was a place of joy and laughter. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them at her church, her grandchildren's activities, traveling and shopping.
Linda was born on May 26, 1943 in Delta, Alabama to the late Carl Wesley Johnson and the late Addie Mae Messer Johnson. She married Donald Crow on July 3, 1970. They enjoyed a happy life together for 54 years. Linda served the churches of God in Alabama for almost 5 decades in various capacities at the Alabama Church of God State Headquarters. She was a faithful member of Metropolitan Church of God for over 25 years.
At the age of 81, on September 6, 2024, Linda went home to be with her Lord and Savior after a short battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Donald Wayne Crow; son, Wayne Estes (Rebecca) Crow; and daughter, Tonya Leann (Marshall) Zwiebel; four grandchildren, Stephen Taylor Zwiebel, Christian Marshall Zwiebel, Addison Jane Crow, and Tyler Wayne Crow; sister, Margaret Johnson Jarman; and a loving extended family.
Friends will be received Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 11:00AM to 1:00 PM at Metropolitan Church of God. Service will follow at 1:00 at Metropolitan Church of God. Interment will take place at Currie-Jefferson Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
