Mrs. Lillie Turner Warren, age 98, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away on August 18, 2010. She lived on Rocky Ridge Road in Vestavia for 69 years before moving to Murfreesboro, TN, in 2006. She was a longtime member of Mountain Chapel United Methodist Church before transferring membership to St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Murfreesboros, TN. She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron, Secretary, and Chaplin of the Cahaba Heights Lodge. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Alvin Turner; mother, Willie Mae Bell Davis; step-father, Edward L. Friday. Husband, Ozan Warren; daughter-in-law, Katie Collier Warren; six brothers, Joe M. Turner, Arvie D. Turner, Woodrow W. Turner, M. Lauvelle Friday, Rother B. Friday, and Narvie O. Friday; a sister, Eva Friday Morris, two grandchildren, Janet Warren Spradley, and Russell L. Warren; a great grandaughter, Katie Noel Hardin. Survivors: Son, Lamar Warren, Cedar Bluff, MS; son, Mike and Karen Fleming Warren, Murfreesboro, TN; 3 grandchildren, Keith Warren (Kathleen), Auburn, AL, Pam Chaudhuri (Mike), Lumberton, NC, and Michael Warren, Jr. (Jenny), Gaffney, SC; 8 great grandchildren, Keane Warren, Auburn, AL, Savannah Warren, Auburn, AL, Sarah B. Hardin (John), Coker, AL, Nathan Bullington, Hoover, AL, Mathew Spradley, Atlanta, GA, Melissa Spradley, Atlanta, GA, Hunter Warren, Gaffney, SC, and Grant Warren, Gaffney, SC. Funeral services will be held at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday at 2:00 PM, with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. Rev. Tom Parrish officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 21, at 1:00 PM.
