of Birmingham, passed away on Monday , August 14, 2006, at the age of 79. She was born in Lee County, AL and was the fourth of nine children born to the late Dan D. and Eddie Lou Walden. Lillie Mae attended Salem Public School and worked for a period of time at Eagle Textiles in Columbus, GA. She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed arts and crafts, particulary making Raggedy Ann dolls. Lillie Mae was an actice and dedicated member of Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Vestavia. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John Hargett; two daughters, Cheryl Ann Mason, of Huntsville, and Norma Jean Bascovsky, of Oakdale, PA; three grandchildren, Amanda, John and Sharon; three great-grandchildren Danielle, Nicholas, and Jessica. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 16, 2006, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. CST at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150, Hoover. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m., with Dr. Belon Friday and David Wells officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
