Lester Stinson

Mr. Lester E. Stinson,78, of Helena, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Garland, Alabama, where he was baptised as a young boy. He was a graduate of Troy State University and was retired from the State of Alabama, Department of Industrial Relations. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie Rosetta Stinson Sims and step-father Erastus Sims. He is survived by his wife, of 51 years, Delaphine Rawls Stinson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 2 PM at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1 until 2 PM at the funeral home.
