Leslie Stephens

Leslie G. Stephens, of Gardendale, passed away into the arms of his Savior on April 14, 2016, at the age of 61. He had a great love for his family and the outdoors, but most of all, his Heavenly Father. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Ellis and Betty Jean Langham Stephens.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Sims Stephens; his daughters, Lauren S. Durrett (Chad) and Mary Blaire Stephens; his brothers, Scott Stephens (Jill) and Ronnie Stephens; his sisters, Debra Dennis and Cindy Ogelsby (Van) and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 16, 2016, from 1-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2PM in the Chapel. Interment will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Gardendale First Baptist Church, in his name, to dig and build wells in foreign countries.
