Leo Baldwin

age 83, of Hoover, passed away on February 19, 2006. Leo was the son of Thomas and Julia Baldwin of Wadena , Iowa. He was a graduate of Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa and attended the school of banking in Madison, Wisconsin. He was a banker by trade serving as president of Fidelity Bank of Marshalltown Iowa and retiring from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) . Leo was a life long member of the Knights of Columbus. He served as Grand Knight in Marshalltown, Iowa 1962-1963. He was in the Navy and was a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corp. Funeral Services will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Father John Fallon and Father Henry McDade officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 20, 2006 from 5 until 7 p.m. at the church. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Baldwin, six children; Sean (Gina) Baldwin, Brian (Susan) Baldwin, Maura (Scott) Figura, Barry (Roslyn) Baldwin, Kara (Steve) Kruck and Morgan (Renee) Baldwin. 13 grandchildren; Allysa, Julia and Skyla Baldwin, Lauren, Caitlin and David Baldwin, Ashlynn and Alex Figura, Anna and Brennan Kruck, Zachary, Joel, and Bonnie Catherine Baldwin. Pallbearers will be his sons; Sean, Brian, Barry and Morgan Baldwin, Scott Figura, Steven Kruck and Mike Baldwin. Currie Jefferson Funeral Home directing.
