Lee Lutomski , 84, passed away on February 15, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Lutomski, and her parents, Clara Lee Jackson and Berchard M. Jackson. Lee is survived by her sons Wayne (Teresa) and Don (Jenny); grandchildren Rand (Nicole), Geneva, Evan (Alex), Christopher, David, Mark and Erin Lutomski; great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Carter and Wyatt Lutomski; sister Janet (Coy) Cornett; brother, Charles (Doris), and James, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lee was born on April 20, 1935 in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1958, she met the love of her life, Don Lutomski, and was married on January 3, 1959. The couple began their life together in Mt. Kisco, New York, Don’s home town. Don’s employment with Southern Food Service sent the family of four to Cleveland, Ohio in 1967 and then to Birmingham, Alabama in 1976. Lee worked for Jackie O’Neal School of Dance for many years as office manager and later at Rich’s Department Store at Brookwood Mall. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
With a loving and generous heart, Lee cared dearly for her friends and family. She was an avid reader, bowler, and a great fan of sports, especially Auburn football. She watched many rec league basketball games, baseball games and dance recitals with joy.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Oaks on Parkwood for Lee’s care during the past two years.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. followed by Mass at 2:00p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Currie Jefferson Memorial on Hwy 150.
