Lavedia Spielman

of Brierfield, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2007, at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Winegard. Mrs. Spielman is survived by four daughters, Sharon Ashcraft (Norman) of Jemison, Susan Stone of Moody, Sara Whitfield (David) of Brierfield and Sylvia Scurlock (James) of McCalla; nine grandchildren, Jerald Winegard (Cynthia), Karla Isbell, Kathryn Wright (James), Tracy English, Keith Wilson, Eric Whitfield, Charles Mann, Samuel Mann (Melanie) and Jason Mann (Denise); twenty-one great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, from 6-8 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
