Larry Gene Armstrong

Mr. Larry Gene Armstrong, 75, of Lake View, AL passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at UAB West Hospital. He proudly enlisted in the Marines at 18 years old and served four years.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life for 49 years, Sandra L. Ware Armstrong; parents, Melvin “Jack” and Sue Armstrong; and brother, Jack Armstrong.

Larry is survived by his sons, Brian G. Armstrong and John T. Armstrong (Carrie); one grandchild, Joshua; brother by marriage, Tommy Ware (Sonya); and one nephew, David.

Larry (Grandad) was known for his amazing sense of humor and contagious laugh. He loved Alabama football, playing pool, his dog Susie, and mostly his family. He will surely be missed.

In lieu of flowers, continued support of one of his two favorite charities, St. Judes or the Arbor Day Foundation would be appreciated along with continued prayer for the family.

The family would like to thank the many friends and relatives who have offered their love and support.
