Larry Langston, Jr.

Larry W. Langston, Jr was born on November 24th, 1971 and grew up in Thorsby, Alabama. He passed away on February 1st, 2024 at the age of 52 due to complications from advanced stage lung cancer. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, sons Matthew and Connor, daughter Danielle, father Larry W. Langston Sr, mother Barbara S. Smith, brothers Daniel Langston and Anthony Smith, sister Lisa Odom and multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Larry was fondly known as Uncle Larry, Lar-Lar or Mr. Larry who loved fishing, attending sporting events, going to all his children's activities, loved life and all of his family. He impacted so many lives with his kindness, loyalty and laughter. He could entertain with his unique sense of humor. He prided himself on being someone you could always count on and being a good friend. Larry will be painfully missed by all those who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home located at 2701 John Hawkins Parkway from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 8th, 2024, followed by a celebration of life service at 1 p.m.

Graveside will follow at Ridout's Forest Hill Cemetery, located at 431 60th Street North, Birmingham, AL 35212.
