Larry Edwards

Mr. Larry Edwards, of Hoover, AL, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012, at the age of 54. Larry worked the past 30 years as a tow boat pilot and captain with Compass and Ingram Barge Co. Recently, Larry has worked as an independent agent helping certify new pilots on the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers. Larry was a very kind, loving man that could make you smile by walking into the room. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. I love you so much, Dad. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Edwards. He is survived by 2 daughters; Alexandria Edwards Ricciardi and Shannon West Harrell, his mother, Barbara Edwards, two brothers; Lynn Edwards (Lyndell) and Leigh Edwards (Cindy), one sister, Donna Edwards, five grandchildren; Aidenn Ricciardi, Drew and Chris Weildeling, Will and Jack Harrell, and William Edwards. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 7, 2012, from 12-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM at the funeral home.
