Larry M. Cost, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Compassus Hospice at St. Martin's in the Pines. He was born March 19, 1943, lived in Birmingham, was a graduate of Banks High School, was an Air Force veteran, and was of the Methodist Faith. He was a dedicated Alabama Football Fan, loved all people, all kinds of music, dancing, and loved his friends deeply. Larry had a zest for living, a beautiful smile, a booming laugh, and he cooked the world's best BBQ, but he hated politics.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar C. Cost and Margaret K. Cost; his sisters, Alice Crawford and Willodean Freeman; and his brothers, Paul Cost and Ed Cost. He is survived by his brother, Ted Cost; his sister, Lurla Harris; his fiancée, Jane Powell; 5 nieces; and 2 nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10-11, Monday, June 18, 2018, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy 150 in Hoover. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South, Jim Profetto officiating.
