Kitty Gilliam

Mrs. Kitty Lee Gilliam, 85, of Adamsville, left for her heavenly home on March 31, 2011. Kitty was preceded in death by her loving husband J. T. Gilliam. She was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church. Her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and they will miss her dearly. She is survived by her children; Billie Mealer & Thomas of Adamsville, Charles Gilliam & Robin of Dora, Faye Busby & Jimmy of Graysville, Jerry Gilliam "Hammer" of Graysville, Vickie Gilliam of Graysville and Judy Glover & Tim of Oak Grove; her grandchildren; Tracy & James Veniegh, Steven & Carol Busby, Scott & Amanda Mealer, Chantel & Greg Reeves, Raina Gilliam, Jennifer & Brad Thornton, Tonya & Chris Cannon, Justin Gilliam and Mitzi & Shane Lowe; great grandchildren; Ryan Reeves, Landon Rogers, Emma Busby, Garrett & Avery Cannon, Olivia & Natalie Thornton, Christopher Wallace and Jamie Lee Wallace; a host of other loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 1 PM at the New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Crestview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 1, 2011 from 6 until 8 PM at the New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home. The family wishes to express a sincere thanks to caregivers, Linda Stafford and Brenda Green and also the staff on the 4th floor at UAB Highlands and Comfort Care Hospice.
