July 24, 1959 – April 29, 2022 Kenneth Ray Ashworth, of Shannon, Alabama received God's Healing from a brief battle with cancer on April 29, 2022, at the age of 62.
Kenneth was a member of First Baptist Church of Shannon. Kenneth worked for 18 years with the Jefferson County Public Works, Bessemer Division. There he formed many wonderful life long friendships. The last few years he had the privilege of working construction with childhood friends and family. Kenneth was a very kind hearted man. He always had multiple gardens and loved to share what he grew with neighbors, friends and family. He had a passion and love for fishing and hunting. When he wasn't spending time with his children or grandchildren he was on a river bank or in the woods. Kenneth loved his children and grandchildren unconditionally and would do anything he could for them. To know Kenneth was to love him. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Edmond W. (Lillie) Ashworth, Aaron (Lois) Scott and Father Donald Ray Ashworth He is survived by his mother Floyce Annette Ashworth, Son Robert (Crystal) Ashworth, Daughter Tiffany Ashworth (fiance Michael Moore), Brothers Wallace (Donna) Ashworth, Stephen Ashworth (girlfriend Tracie Winfield); Grandchildren: Cody Vodosia, Katelynn Vodosia, Jaxon Ashworth, Sadie Rae Ashworth and Bonus granddaughter Ava Moore.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 4, 2022, from 12-2 PM at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home with service to follow at 2 PM in the Chapel. Rev. Tommy Hannah officiating. Pallbearers are as followed Wallace Ashworth, Darryl Ashworth, Cody Vodosia, Eric Scott, Brandon Scott, Jeff Scott and Jaxon Ashworth
